Roberto Olivero, PhD is a psychologist with 20 years experience at the Men's Resource Center. His specialties include domestic violence, men's issues and the special interests of gay men. Paul Lee, LCSW has been with the Men's Resource Center since 1987. His areas of specialty include domestic violence intervention for men and healing for men who were sexually abused as children. He also provides counseling for a variety of other mental health and personal growth issues with individuals and couples. Julie A. Kingsland MSW received her Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University in 2003. She volunteered as a Trauma Counselor for the Veteran's Administration for three years and has experience in individuals, couples, family and group counseling. She was an employee of the Oregon Department of Corrections for over five years and has worked with sex offenders and their partners. She specializes in medical social work and has developed the Medical Empowerment Program to assist persons facing the challenges of chronic and disabling health conditions. She works with domestic violence offenders and offers individual and couples counseling in a variety of areas including crisis management, trauma and personal growth. Janet Martin, LPC assists clients in violence intervention, supporting victims of domestic violence, helping people with relationship and family issues, and anxiety and depression. She has experience in helping people with workplace issues. Margaret Rust, LPC She works with clients dealing with various issues relating to domestic violence, sexual abuse, relationship and parenting problems, depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, life changes, addiction and other self-defeating behaviors. She also teaches classes at Portland State University through the Child and Family Studies Department. Jennifer Warren, MSW CSWA has been a counselor with MRC/WCC since 1998. Her areas of specialty include domestic violence intervention and recovery with both men and women, with a focus on personal accountability and empowerment through assertiveness, skill building and recognizing destructive patterns and belief systems with individuals and in a group format. She also has a strong background working with a variety of issues, including crisis intervention, and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, chronic mental illness and issues related to family of origin and sexual abuse recovery. Jennifer is also a volunteer self-defense instructor through the WomanStrength program, where the focus is domestic violence and sexual abuse prevention and survival. Dean Camarda, has been facilitating men's Batterer Intervention groups for over 3 1/2 years. Previously he worked in a youth/adolescent behavioral modification program at Boy's Town in Nebraska. As an experienced television/video producer, Dean has produced numerous programs and video projects including some PSA's for the Bradley-Angle House. His latest video project titled It's Your Choice, is a presentation similar to a Victim's Impact Panel, featuring five women and two sibling youth discussing their experiences with domestic violence. It's Your Choice is currently in distribution and used by a number of Batterer's Intervention Program counselors and agencies. Dean has plans to develop additional video productions for Batterer's Intervention Program clinic use and facilitator training. Dianna Kingdon, LCSW has worked with clients from within the criminal justice system since 1975. She has worked in prisons, with probation departments, in a medical detoxification unit, in serveral substance abuse outpatient treatment programs and in psychiatric units. She has taught parenting classes and has facilitated self-help recovery groups in the community. Additionally, she has maintained a private therapy practice since 1995 working with families, groups, and individuals. Currently, she is the SAVI (Substance Abuse and Violence Intervention) Program Director for MRC. Phil Broyles, BS,CADCII has been a group co-facilitator for Men's Resource Center in our Domestic Violence Intervention and our Substance Abuse and Violence Intervention (SAVI) programs since April of 2007 and is the facilitator for our DUII program. Phil has served people with mental illness and substance abuse issues (dual diagnosis) in an outpatient treatment facility for five years as well as in a minumum-security prison and day treatment program. He has also worked part-time and on-call for residential mental health group homes with people who are under Psychiatric Security Review Board supervision. He has certification in alcohol and drug counseling at a level II and a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. |
